So Clean review and info

Post by igotsuckeredtoo » Thu Nov 08, 2018 3:02 pm

I was not impressed with their informativeness by emial. I emailed to ask about how it connects since they do not show it directly in any video. You can see it if you know what to look for but there is no vid that shows the connection point and how it works with a humidifier that I could find. It just so happens that my ResMed S8 is one of the machines it connects directly too w/o an adapter. I mentioned before flippantly actually that I was sensitive to dust. I was actually interested because I wanted to avoid having to clean my equipment so frequently. It is a pointless endeavor hand washing turns out is best. I cannot say it was cleaning or sanitizing the equipment any better than my washing it normally did.
I bought it from an online dealer.
The adapter that comes with- If you imagine the the soft end of your hose without the hose on it with a 1/4 inch tube going into it that is what the connector that comes with looks like. Inside that piece has another tube which would go into your humidifier. Do this dry if you decide to try it. You have to cut it so that it hangs just above the bottom warming plate. You put this on the outlet from the humidifier tank and your hose onto it. Then you just use the mask normally. The machine is meant to aerate the water with ozone and I guess it pushes its way up the hose and into the container you put the mask in. IDK if ozone is generated inside the mask compartment or???
For me the ozone smell filled the house. I left the mask in it all day, you have to leave it in at least 2 hours for the process, and took it out for use at night. If you did not know ozone is bad for your lungs and mucous linings of your sinus. There was some residual ozone left over in the hose and mask and possibly coming off the water in the humidifier as well. Anyway this affected me very severely.
I had a hard time returning it. The seller was being a tool about it. There is a 30 day period after the date you purchase for no risk returns. After that you are on your own negotiating with SoClean or the seller.
1. If you buy it from a seller of DME online and want to return it inside the 30 day window you have to ask that seller to get you an RMA# from SoClean. They give you that number which you put at the top of the return address on the Terms and Conditions page of the SoClean website. Then once it is received they tell the seller and the seller refunds your payment.
2. If you bought direct from SoClean, call them get the RMA number and send it back to them.

The reseller return process worked for me. I had to do extra work. The package had been received by So Clean on 11-13-18 6 days ago and I had not got my refund as of this morning. So I contacted So Clean to ask if they had informed the reseller of having received the return and then informed the AG about it.
Oh yea I had filed a complaint about the reseller who tried to prevent me from returning the So Clean. I found out on here from Chicago Granny when I joined that the terms and conditions of SoClean was a 30 day no risk Warranty. The reseller still made me contact SoClean to find out how to return it. I checked before I logged in tonight and I have been credited the amount.
Total loss $34.09. That is the shipping with $300 coverage by FedEx

Edit- Today 11-21-18, 21 days after stopping use of the so clean is the first day 3 and a half hours after waking I am not having to use something to clear my nose or coughing and trying to bring up hard mucous from my lungs since stopping use of the SoClean. I still had some mucous demanding to come out for a half hour after waking but now my sinus if clear and deep breaths do not cause the urge to try to get mucous out of my lungs to happen.
BTW the smell of ozone is deceptively pleasant, I recommend avoiding it.
