Re: Resmed AirFit F30
The airfit f30 seals pretty well, but can fluctuate when laying on your side. I find it annoys my upper lip/under the nostrils, and am unfortunately not a fan so far. My skin may toughen up with some lanolin though.

Private message me your address and you can have mine. Just pass it along or send it to pugsys donation box if it doesn't work.recipefordisaster wrote: ↑Sun Jan 06, 2019 6:10 amI'd really like to try the F30- the only mask that works for me is the Simplus. I've tried everything! It's not ideal so I'm always hoping I will find a mask I can ah least alternate with it.
If anyone doesn't like the F30 and has a small, maybe they would trade me for a Simplus or sell me the F30? I'm quite sure I have another full Simplus to spare...

Btw Cynmatthes, if you still want to try the Amara View you were talking about previously, let me know, and I will see if I can find my old one. I think it's still around here somewhere, and has virtually no use on it. It was a leak-o-matic on me!

Just paying it forward.
Everyone here has been so nice to me. Pugsy helped me figure out that I can wear a nasal mask. It has made a world of difference. Thank you for the kind offer though!

Re: Resmed AirFit F30
Yes - been using the F30 since late Dec. I was previously using the Dreamwear FFM and my biggest complaint with it was the venting (miniature jet-blast out the front). Then I saw ResMed came out with the F30 and really wanted the ResMed diffused venting. Once I got it, I found that the diffused venting was well worth the switch.
It took me a while to get it adjusted. I would recommend you start adjusting with the top strap first (top of your head), then temple straps, then jaw straps.
I'm fairly active when I sleep and prefer to sleep on my side, so I can force the F30 to leak when grinding the side of my face into the pillow. But it doesn't seem to leak much at all otherwise. It seems to leak less (overall) for me than the DW FFM. I want to "DIY" a mask liner for it and I'm hopeful that will resolve most of the minor leaking. However, I don't think anything/any mask can help when I slide my face into a pillow and break the seal -- that's a "people" problem, not a mask problem. Training myself to stop doing that is not as easy as I had hoped.
All in all, I'm *almost* thinking the F30 is "The One" for me. I hope it works well for you!
Good luck!

Re: Resmed AirFit F30
have been using the F30 for a week now, it IS the ONE. like you, only leaks if I smash my face too hard in the pillow. the dreamwear FF leaked a lot for me, but I think it was mostly because the medium headgear was too large & kept slipping. The small frame didn't work either which caused me to search for something else. I am glad Resmed created the F30. Just what I needed.

Re: Resmed AirFit F30
Unable to update my profile with the Resmed F30 FFM. The F30 is not on the list. I was excited to find out that in Australia, Resmed introduced the new n30i nasal mask that will give dreamwear a run for their money. I am excited to see this coming to US this year. I am hoping Resmed will also make a full face version of this mask. I will definitely try it since I love having the hose away from my face. I did try the dreamwear when I first started, but the headgear doesn't fit me well. I would be interested in finding out if the Resmed headgear is adjustable enough to work. I wish I could get away with nasal instead of full face.

It's there. You just missed seeing it....scroll down the list it's right below "Quest full face mask"

Re: Resmed AirFit F30
I've been using F30 mask for about 2.5 months. I can't seem to stop the leaks from the top of the nose. I think the mask is designed for those people with a more triangular, protruding nose. Mine is flatter/wider and I don't think I can ever to fit perfectly. I also noticed that the silicon gets softer/weaker as the night wears on and when that happens, the leaks get bigger. I do like how it is smaller/easier to breathe than the original F10 I had.
Re: Resmed AirFit F30
pugsy, F30 should be listed under the rest of the Airfits.. and I don't have the option for Quest either. I am editing my profile, then editing my equipment, right? Or do I change it somewhere else? Why is our list different?

Re: Resmed AirFit F30
There's no real rhyme or reason to the way the equipment list is set up.
Like the AirSense 10 grouping....the AutoSet is down in the Rs because they stuck ResMed in front of the AirSense word.
The did the same thing with the F30....Instead of saying AirFit 30....they listed it as ResMed AirFit 30.
As to why you can't see Quest down in the Qs...I have no idea....the equipment list is in alphabetical order but they aren't always consistent with the first word...which of course determines where in the list it goes.
Sorry...put the red arrow on the wrong one..the F30 is right above it. Didn't have my eyeballs in.

Re: Resmed AirFit F30
The F30 seals very good for me. But it pinches the top of my nose, the largest size is medium. Other than that it is great.Becca59 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 05, 2019 8:49 pmI am about to try the Airfit F30 by Resmed. Is there anyone else in the forum who currently uses this mask or has tried it? I noticed that it has mixed reviews as will be true with all masks. Everyone has a preference & different face shapes. I wanted to find something similar to the Phillips Dreamwear full face mask. Unfortunately, I can't get away with a nasal mask because I am a mouth breather & I tried every chin strap on the market with no success. The problem with the dreamwear is that the frame is too big for me. I medium is too loose & a small is too tight & uncomfortable, I have the frame shoved into my eye sockets with the small frame. I am hoping Phillips will create frames made especially for women or even men who need a size between a small & medium. Please let me know your thoughts on the F30.
I have tried the following FF masks: Dreamwear (frame too large or too small, causing leaks), F20- (very few leaks, but hurts my nose bridge. this is the mask I am currently using). Quattro Air for her (Hated the forehead strap & leaked, not comfortable for sleeping). So now on to the F30. If the F30 doesn't work out, what should I try next?
I have been on APAP since April 2018 and I am still searching for the perfect mask for me. I use an Airsense 10 machine which seems to be working well, no problems. My max air pressure is 20. I think my leakage problems are when it ramps up to 10 or higher. I don't dare lower my pressure without a doctor visit though. I am hoping that on my next visit this year the pressure gets lowered.
