How to make F30 more comfortable

Post by Firefox » Mon Mar 25, 2019 9:57 am

So after getting the Resmed F30 mask I have some issues.Been trying alot of full face masks the last while Resperonics Comfortfull Gel, Resmed F10 and 20 enc.

Have anyone used a F30 yet with maskliners? Have it improved for them? My F30 hurts me on my top right tooth on the side.On the mask where it bends inward on the top side.Only on the right side. Maybe I have a skew mouth . Have anyone had the same problem? Will a maskliner soften the mask and the problem might go away? I'm using a Size Medium.

I just received my brand new Pad a Cheek liner for this mask. It helps with leaks so I can keep it a little bit bit looser, plus it shields some of my nose from irritation (I've never had issues with silicone before, but I do get tender chapping from this mask).

I don't know whether it'll help you... I just find that I have to keep straps a little tighter without the liner because of noisy leaks, so maybe there will be less pressure for your face.

I contacted Karen via email. The liner is well designed... I had to cut the nostril part a tiny bit wider, but if I used the small, it would have been ideal and you can't make the hole smaller :)

While you are waiting for a liner, make one outta an old tshirt. Trace the mask cushion on a piece of paper, cut it out and trace the cutout on the tshirt. See if this helps. I would try this before ordering the liner. The liners are nice and washable.

Sounds like a great idea Sherif Buford. How do I attach the T shirt fleece to the mask frame? I love the F30. Last night I tried it with a Lady's sweatband to keep my jaw close.it was an amazing comfy mask except the pain on my tooth. The F30 has amazing potential to become a mask to replace all masks.and I have tried 9 different masks over the years. So far the F30 feels like the mask with the least amount of leaks and problems in the beginning.I'm very optimistic :D

Tooth pain might be unrelated to the mask.
See your dentist.

Chunkyfrog it feels like pressure pain. The inside of my mouth (cheek) have dents too from the pressure. So I definitely think it's pressure.

I tried to sleep with my F30 last night again. But every time I fall asleep my Astral throws out an alarm to show leaks. But I don't feel leaks anywhere. Which is really strange.Once I wake up again it goes silent. It's really annoying. What can the problem be? I'm using a Lady's sweat headband as a chin strap. Can it be that the mask leaks between the mask bottom and chinstrap and I don't feel any cold air escaping? Or maybe my chinstrap relaxes tension during falling asleep /sleep(its relatively stiff when I'm awake) ? I'm aware of using a soft cervical collar but I live in a hot climate. But at the moment I'm so frustrated.
