I'm wondering if anyone has tried both the Resmed AirFit N20 and the F&P Eson 2 masks and can compare? I searched and can't find any direct comparison.
I've been at this for about six months now and of the masks I'd tried I settled on the Eson 2 as the one that seemed most functional for me. But recently my top front teeth have started to hurt a little and my bite seems a little off (seeing a dentist about that, not sure if my teeth have actually moved or if the sensitivity is just making me notice). So I'm going into a new round out trying out masks. The tech said they could order an N20 if I thought it would work better. Maybe it distributes the pressure better? I guess that's what I'm asking. They had a few other nasal mask options, but all other than the N20 strap at the bottom, and I think that's why I'm getting too much pressure. But if I loosen it, it leaks. Probably my mustache is not helping.
She also gave me a dreamwear mask to try so I'll try that first but so far nasal pillows haven't worked out well for me. (I've been re-trying the P10 and Brevida recently without great results.)
Thanks!
Brian

Re: Resmed AirFit N20 compared to the F&P Eson 2?
I have tried the Eason, the N-20 and the dreamwear nasal.
I prefer the N-20, the dreamwear is my backup but if you prefer the quiet diffused venting of the eason the other two may not be for you.
I like the N-20 because of its magnetic clips and it just fits my face better.
I do not care for the plastic piece on the eason that goes on the nose /forehead. I like the more open design of the N-20 as I can sit my glasses over it and read in bed or look at my phone. The dreamwear nasal is even more open making it easy to perch glasses on your nose.
As a kid I wore orthodontic headgear and the N-20 is very similar in the way it fits distributing the pressure both over the top and under the ears. Instead of putting it on the forehead like the eason.
Here is a picture of my N-20 you can see the swivel elbow that blows air forcefully out and can wake up your partner if your not careful

The dreamwear vents out the top but also vents through a slit in the front of the cushion. I am a female with a lot of hair and even though I keep it short the top swivel of the dreamwear tangles in my hair but it is a good backup to the N-20 because it sits under the nose instead of across the top so I can use it if my nose is sore. (The way my glasses fit I sometimes get a sore on the bridge of my nose).
I'm not sure what else you might want to know but please feel free to ask any questions you might have.

Here is the dreamwear nasal.
You can see the slit in the front for venting.

That’s all helpful, thanks. I really dislike that forehead brace thing on the Eson 2 as well, having something that interferes with glasses ends up meaning sometimes I fall asleep without the mask on. The Eson 2 was just the least bad mask I had, the folks at Kaiser Santa Clara weren’t very helpful in finding a better mask for me, they said I should just get used to what I had. I started visiting the Fremont location and they’re a lot better.
How is the N20 if you sleep on your side? I change positions a few times a night, that often causes the Eson 2 (or the P10) to start leaking.
That’s the same dreamwear mask they gave me yesterday, and last night it did work far better than the other two nasal pillow masks I’ve tried. I got through the whole night, my event rate ( normally 1 or less) went up to about 2 but that’s better than the 4 I was getting with the brevida or the 10 I got over the weekend retrying the P10. (I’ve never lasted more than 2 hrs on the P10 before giving up.). I’m going to try it for a few nights, but I’m still thinking of trying the N20 as well, that might be a good pair of masks to have.

I sleep on my sides and the N-20 does well. I was having serious leaks with my first one but since I went to the smaller "for her" headgear and a small cushion that has mostly gone away. I wiggle a lot at night the headgear over and under the ears keeps it pretty stable. My only dislike is the venting in the front. I wish it was diffused.m421 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 1:57 pmThat’s all helpful, thanks. I am finding the n-20 and the dreamwear as a backup the best solution for me of the currents masks available. That of course comes with a big YMMV sticker as what works for some does not work for others. I keep trying pillows, I really want to like them because the bleep/dreamport mask sounds wonderful.
