Philips Respironics DreamWear Nasal CPAP Mask Liners
Philips Respironics DreamWear Nasal CPAP Mask Liners
I'm new to the Philips Respironics DreamWear Nasal CPAP Mask and finding that it is rubbing just under my nose. I can't seem to find any liners for it. Any one here have any insight on where I might be able to find liners or any other options that might help? Waking up with little sores and raw under my nose is going to discourage my use.
Re: Philips Respironics DreamWear Nasal CPAP Mask Liners
There are no liners for that particular under the nose cushion for the DreamWear.....but you shouldn't be getting skin abrasions with it anyway or getting significant pain.
If you are getting significant pain or skin abrasions from ANY mask then it is either fitted improperly or sized incorrectly or simply the wrong mask for a person's facial structure.
I have used the DreamWear under the nose cushion as well as the gel pillows....if it is rubbing you raw...something is wrong with the fitting. It shouldn't be doing that at all.
If it is moving around and that's causing friction raw spots...makes me wonder if the frame size is correct...maybe you need a different size frame or even cushion.

Re: Philips Respironics DreamWear Nasal CPAP Mask Liners
I also get a small area of chaffing under my nose, just between the nostrils. I haven't ever looked for any liners, so I am no help there. I do put a little dab of lanolin cream on that spot before I mask up if it is bothering me. I haven't been using any lanolin lately, so maybe that area is toughing up! I have also loosened my head gear straps lately and that may have more to do with it anyway.
