Sleeping pillow advice

I'm looking for some advice on a good pillow. In general, I'm not a big fan of pillows. The one I normally use is pretty thin--sometimes when I'm out of town at a hotel I will fold a towel and use that for a pillow instead of one of the hotel pillows. I usually sleep on my back, and sometimes shift to my side while sleeping.

However, I've noticed that when my allergies are bothering me, I tend to breathe through my mouth at night, then wake up with headaches (I am being treated by an allergist). I've not had any success with full face masks, so I decided to try a wedged pillow to elevate me while I sleep. This worked well for most of the spring, but it's also been kinda hard on my back and neck. Below I provided a link to this pillow.

I've started looking at CPAP pillows and they all look super bulky and uncomfortable. I'm hoping someone here can share their wisdom and/or recommendations. Thanks!

I use a Buckwheat Hull Pillow.
Best pillow I have found. (For Me)
Pillows are like masks, matching one up to you can be difficult.
Finding the right pillow was much more troublesome than finding a mask. (For Me)
Buckwheat pillows are like a soft bag of cement.
You can shape it like you want, and it will remain that way all night. (more or less)
They are a little pricey for a good one.
If it works for you you will want another one. (I did )

I tried the Buckwheat pillow (why do I keep looking for Alfalfa?). But as I stated before, I felt like Fred Flinstone when I used it. I use the memory foam cpap pillow. I'm on my second one. I'm a memory foam guy. Once you get used to the Temper-pedic, you never go back. The pillow has cut outs to reduce pillow interference for side sleeping. I like the neck support the pillow provides. Anyway, as Jim stated, to each his own.

Wow, you jumped at that quickly.

A buckwheat pillow will not stop mouthbreathing.

When you breathe through your mouth, the therapeutic CPAP pressure could be lost and apneas would still occur. This could possibly be the cause of your headaches.

My wife and I use Purple Pillows. They are really expensive and I never would have bought one if my daughter hadn't left one with us for when she visits. She suggested we try it. We did and then bought a couple. We have used them for over a year now.

If someone or something shoves it down over one's mouth with enough force it might.

I use a down feather pillow. It comfortable & I can form it quite easily.

Note that all CPAP machines on the market are dual voltage, so you will be able to use a machine you got in Asia in Canada and vice versa. You will only need an adapter or the different socket shapes.

I did. I will likely not need a pillow to help with mouth breathing until allergy season strikes again, and in the meantime, my neck and back are unhappy.

In terms of allergy treatment routine:
Azelastine spray 2 shots in each nostril in AM and PM
Nasacort spray 1 shot in each nostril in AM and PM
Qvar inhaler one puff twice a day
Allergy shots--was twice a week for a couple of years and just went to once a week.
