Just got my tube wrap from the above in subject line this afternoon. I thought about the Aussie heated hose, but it seemed like a lot of money for someone who lives in central Texas. If I lived up north I'd probably get one for sure.
Since I was having some rainout at higher heat setting, and I really wanted the higher heat especially when I am having chest congestion like now, I ordered one of these polar fleece type wraps. It has a snap at one end and is elasticized at both end. I also ordered the mini wrap for the hose on my Swift. Cost me about $22 total for the two pieces.
I laid down to test it out for about 15 minutes, and I couldn't believe what a difference this little bit of fabric thickness accomplished as far as raising the temp of the air coming down the hose. Before it was like mildly warm, even with the highest heat setting, now it is almost too warm. I'm probably going to have to cut down the heat setting!
From what I understand on the Aussie heated hose, but maybe I'm wrong, there is basically no heat control.
So, I think for a very small amount of money I have made a very good choice for my needs. Can't wait to see what the next security guy at the airport says when he asks me to open my "medical suppy" bag and see the rainbow fleece wrap!

You can control the heat of a Aussie heated host by purchasing the variable power converter instead of the 12 Volt converter. I use mine at 9 volts .
