P10 Nasal Pillows versus Dreamwear Nasal Gel Pillows

Post by Escapee » Tue Sep 17, 2019 11:36 am

Anyone here has used one or both of these masks? If so, any feedback on this? I have been using P10 for the last few days and like it very much in terms of having no leaks and comfort. However, I don't like the hose in front of my face and I wake up having to move the hose around when I turn. I prefer the hose going back from top of your head like the Dreamwear kind. So I am contemplating trying out the Dreamwear Nasal Pillows. Any feedback on this would be very much appreciated! Thanks!

The only real negative to the DreamWear nasal pillows might be vent noise.
The P10 venting is diffused and pretty much silent.
The DreamWear isn't diffused and it's not silent and it is more apt to bounce off something and either annoy you or cause some noise.

Now I think ResMed now has it's own nasal pillow version that connects at the top of the head and I think it might be less noisy but I haven't had a chance to try it.
I have used both the P10 and the DreamWear pillows though.

ResMed has pretty much got the diffused venting perfected....I don't think Respironics has even tried yet.

If you haven't looked at ResMed's P30i which is their nasal pillows that have the hose attachment at the top....you might look at it.

As Pugsy suggested, consider the ResMed P30i as well.

I used the p10, was very happy with it, for the most part. The one thing I didn't like was how the straps gradually loosened and I had to throw them into the laundry routinely to shrink them back.

I got the P30i mid July and love it. I love the hose attachment at the top of my head preventing getting entangled like I occasionally did with the P10. I love how the straps don't stretch like the P10. It seems I can breath easier with the P30i. It's quiet and comfortable.

Jason did a review of it about two weeks ago.

I love my N20 nasal mask, but my backup favourite is the P30i. The hose being at the top isn't a big deal for me because I sleep on my side with my bottom arm outstretched under my pillow, which gets tangled with the hose. Don't have that problem with the hose coming from the mask.
Regardless, the p30i is comfortable.
