Just got an oxygen concentrator - how do I connect to a ResMed bi-level?

Post by raisedfist » Fri Oct 11, 2019 1:36 pm

I am supposed to use the concentrator with 2 liters "bled in." I've been using a ResMed bi-level for several years but never had to add supplemental O2 until now since my pulmonologist recommended it since I have a restrictive lung disease.

Is there a guide/directions for a newbie?

Currently I have the concentrator and a ResMed bi-level with the basic heated hose. Would I need/is it best to use the climateline oxy heated tube? I assume there is also some type of adapter needed.

Thanks

I believe you can use https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... ircurve-10 and then attach the hose from the concentrator to heated hose. There may be other ways to do it as well, but I am only familiar with this one.

There is a heated hose for Aircurve 10 that has an O2 input.

Yes, the easiest way is to use the climateline oxy (I'm thinking nobody else read your whole post...)

Your mask *may* have an oxygen port, some ffms have that, the last option is an oxygen adapter, but with a heated hose, it would need to be hooked up at the mask end of the hose.

Thanks. $60 for something that will last years isn't that bad .

When I had hip replacement surgery about two years ago, they placed one of the oxygen line adapters on my hose where it attached to my mask. The only problem is keeping the oxygen hose from getting tangled up. If I needed to use oxygen every night, I would go ahead and get the climatline hose with the built in oxygen connection.

$60 for what? THe DME should have given you an adapter if you got it from them.
