I have retired my 7 year old Intellipap unit which was fitted with a Smart Link.
The new CPAP unit has been set up.
I fitted the old Smart Link unit to the new Intellipap and the unit says it needs a provider setup.
Can anyone provide details on how to do this please.
Many thanks

I'm not familiar with that model number, but these instructions should work for most DeVilbiss models.puffing billy wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2019 8:37 amthe unit says it needs a provider setup.

you can enter the setup menu by simultaneously pressing the Blower ON/OFF button, the Ramp button and the Rotary Knob. The 3 buttons must be held down until the screen says "Entering Clinician Menu".

Hi
Thanks for the reply.
I have the Intellipap clinicians manual but it does not mention anything about Smart Link.
There may be something hidden in the menu that I have missed.

I have found the information.
Hope I can help someone else.
"That data on the card is conflicting with the new machine. When you see the error, hold down the down arrow button for 10 seconds, until the error message goes away. In doing so, you erase the card and start over."
It works
Hope I can help someone else.

Re: DeVilbiss intellipap DV54 and Smart link DV5M
Just to thank Puffing Billy for the above tip. VERY useful.
As a new member, I provide some background. I had been diagnosed with OSA following a sleep study on Jan 20, 2009. During the study my AHI results were 75 per hour, O2 sat dipped as low as 78% with a total time <90% of 7 minutes. I started using CPAP at 10 cmH2O on Feb 3rd but switched to an IntelliPAP autoadjust (8-14 cmH2O) on Nov 1st that year, and, in 2016, to a new machine same make/model, and, a few days ago, to an IntelliPAP 2 Autoadjust.
My compliance is excellent, spending >6 hours nightly on the CPAP, AHI well below 5. I doubt I spent more than 5 nights not using the CPAP since starting therapy.
Why did I need the information? I had acquired a SmartLink module with the first IntelliPAP but could not get it to work with the second IntelliPAP in 2016, until yesterday, thanks to Puffing Billy.
I thought the SmartLInk reporting was excellent but, in its absence, grew lazy in recording the daily SmartCodes. Turned out I had no SmartCode report between November 2019 and May 2021 but needed to confirm my compliance to eliminate it as a potential cause for a traffic collision in November 2020. I will use Machine #2 for a nap today and then check to see if the device history may have been saved to the SD card.
Apologies for the long post...thought I should give a hint as to why the tip is so VERY useful.

Remember that unless your 'nap' is 4 hrs long, the machine may not give a legit reading... many don't.
