Respironics Pro2 Bipap Menu

Post by MartiniLover » Fri Mar 02, 2007 2:08 pm

Can someone direct me to the programing menu for the Respironics Bipap Pro 2 Machine.

I am on vacation, with a slow internet connection. My machine lost its program, or maybe worse.................broke. I got an error code ? and when it finally started working it would only operate as a cpap.

My high nr is 13 and low is 8. I don't need ramp.

Thanks for the look and help.

If you're looking to get into the clinician setup menu, unplug the machine, then hold down the left & right arrows while plugging it back in. Hold them down for 5 seconds and that will get youi n.
Wake me up when this is over...

Yep, that will get you into the providers mode. You should be able to adjust the other settings without being in the providers mode though.

I need more detail, as something is not working correctly. It works only in CPAP.

I know how to get in the menu, but what should each setting do?

Is there a list of what each item of the menu does?

I can't do a search on specifics as it returns hundreds/thousands of posts and with a slow IP it is impossible to get through them.

Do you know your prescription settings? Mine are 12 ipap and 8 epap. You need to set yours in the provider mode. You also need to set it for bipap w/biflex if you use the biflex mode. Those settings should make it run in the bipap mode using your Rx settings. If you set the ipap and epap at the same settings, it will run in cpap mode. Ipap being inhale and Epap being exhale. Biflex simple gives pressure relieve in both ipap and epap making it transition easier from one to the other. What other settings do you need info on?
If after setting the ipap and epap it still runs in cpap only mode, the machine will need servicing by Respironics probably.

Thanks for your attention.

I guess I'll have to take it and try to get it fixed.

Still only runs in cpap, keeping a steady low pressure flowing.

Thanks for the help.
