Hi, all -
I'm wondering what your routine is for cleaning/replacing both the reusable and disposable filters in the Dreamstation.
Reuseable filter - according to the manual, you're supposed to run warm tap water through the white middle portion to rinse away debris. In other places, I've seen a recommendation to use warm, (mild) soapy water. I believe my insurance covers a new reusable filter every 6 months. So, how often do YOU clean the reusable filter, what do you clean it with, and how ofter do you replace it? I typically clean it with plain, warm water every 2 weeks, but it's disturbing to me that the white filter remains just as gray after cleaning as before cleaning.
Disposable filter - I discard and replace it every 2 weeks. YOU?
Thanks for your input!
Dan

generally speaking, i don't fuss much with the filter. i usually check it when someone such as yourself comes along to question it. so that was maybe a few weeks ago, so i won't check it now.Rodan wrote: ↑Mon Jun 15, 2020 10:39 amHi, all -

and i either clean it with soap and water or just replace it.
in other words, i don't do it on any specific schedule.

Re: Philips Dreamstation - Filter Maintenance.......
It all depends on how dirty or clean your air is.....
I have a friend who lives in the city in a nice new apartment and their filters look as good at 6 months as the first day they put them in.
Me...I live out in the country where things are dusty all the time and in a house that was built in 1950 with old duct work and I have pets...my filter get changed every 30 days because it doesn't look so nice at 30 days.
Use common sense....does it look yucky to you? Then change it or wash it as needed and if washing it doesn't make it look less yucky enough for you...replace it.

I usually change/wash mine once a month when the filter reminder on the Dreamstation machine blinks. I have a small pump bottle of Dawn diluted with water that I keep in my medicine cabinet that I use to clean the reusable filter, mask cushion and fabric part of the headgear.
