Motor hours reset?

Post by 131 » Fri Oct 09, 2020 4:56 pm

I've been doing a bit of searching and this thread is the closest I could find for my interest. viewtopic/t179707/Airsense-Autoset-10-new-blower.html I did have a read of the "Resmed sucks" diatribe, but that thread has been locked. I've got an S9 VPAP-S, it's displaying the "Motor exceeded hours" warning, but still functioning fine, it's done 24,800 hours. After doing some homework I've tracked down a new motor which I intend to replace, I have no desire or intention of upgrading to a new machine as mine is fine. I'd like to reset the hours so I know how much work the new motor has done, not to defraud anyone, as by the time I'm finished with the machine it will be scrap. From what I can gather searching this forum and other areas of the web, Resmed are the only ones that can rest total run hours, if anyone knows otherwise, I'd like to know. I can understand the reasoning behind not being able to change the run hours, but for my case it's a frustration that my slight OCD will just have to live with.
Cheers,

Mick.

Indeed.
Just do a little math, you'll be fine.

*If* what your asking can be done, ResMed has done a terrific job of not letting the knowledge escape into the wild.
