Making "bubbling" sounds with new machine
Hi, first post here. I have been a Cpap user for 12 years. I recently bought a new ResMed airsense 10 adjustable cpap machine because my wife said I was being noisy with my old one. My pressure setting is 8 and I thought maybe by going to a adjustable machine it would help with the bubbling or gurgling sounds my wife said I was making. I've done everything from changing the pressure setting from 8 to 9 or 10 but nothing seems to help. Thought I would see if anyone here had any experience with this issue. I'm trying to avoid going back in for another sleep study. Any idea's would be appreciated.

Are you experiencing any water or moisture in the hose or mask?
Take the hose off the humidifier and hold it vertical with your hand under the bottom....any water on your hand?

Re: Making "bubbling" sounds with new machine
Gurgling is usually water in the hose...it comes from condensation when the room temperature is cooler than the heated air in the hose. To solve the problem...increase the room temperature, get a hose cover to insulate the hose, get a heated hose, keep the machine lower than your mattress so any water will run back to the humidifier, lower the humidity setting. Any one or a combination of these things will do the trick. (Also..be sure not to over fill the humidifier tub)

I'm sorry, I didn't explain myself real well. The machine isn't making noise ,I am. My wife says I'm making a "bubbling" sound. Not really snoring but enough to wake her up. Admittedly she is a light sleeper.

Forum members use OSCAR software to diagnose problems like this. There is a thread near the top of the index page for newcomers and one for OSCAR. Without data, we are only guessing at your problem.braincramp wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 6:27 amI'm sorry, I didn't explain myself real well. The machine isn't making noise ,I am. (This bubbling, it's not coming out of your bottom end is it?)

Sometimes my mask gets wet inside from my saliva and when I breath the moisture gets stuck in the exhale holes in the mask. To fix it, I take off the masks and use some tissue to remove the moisture. It does make a gurgling sound.

That type of "bubbling" does happen now and then.ChicagoGranny wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 8:59 amForum members use OSCAR software to diagnose problems like this.
