S9 SD card installation help needed
S9 SD card installation help needed
I recently recieved and SD card to install for my complainace reports. When I install the card I get a message that states "data rewriting to SD card press yes to continue " I press yes and it says it is deleting the SD card. This makes sense as it's seeming to prep the card. Then the message comes back up after a minute or 2. If I press no it tells me to remove the card for therapy.
It seems that I should be able to press yes and it will prep the card and then start the process of updating the card with the info. I was told after 48 hours I would have a years worth of data on the card. At this point I don't think anything is happening with the card.
Any assistance on this is much appreciated.

What is the capacity of your SD card? I know the maximum SD card size for the AirSense 10 is 32 GB, as that is the formatting required. Any SD card you buy with a capacity of 2 GB - 32 GB should come formatted as FAT32. I think the S9 has the same size requirement.

Re: S9 SD card installation help needed
The SD card is 4GB & FAT32 formatted and when I looked at it on the laptop, it did have files written to it. I wasn't able to open the files, I have not downloaded any software as of yet to even read the files. Based on what you have said, that formatting and size fits the bill.

You could download and install OSCAR. OSCAR is well supported here so you can get help in setting it up and understanding the data. See the link below to download it.

Re: S9 SD card installation help needed
Thank you for your help, I have installed Oscar this morning and tried to access the data on the card, however Oscar doesn't do anything with it after it appears to be loading it. I have placed the card in locked, unlocked, reformatted the SD card and placed it back into the machine...where I still get the same original issue of the CPAP machine telling me that it's going to erase the data and then after a couple minutes it wants to erase it again on the inserted card.
This time the card was removed and inserted to OSCAR in the laptop in the locked position with the same results. I have attached a snip of the files that are on the card, when I try to open the 2 folders, I do not have access to open them. It also appears that there is hardly any data written to the card.

Re: S9 SD card installation help needed
On your computer format it to a non-FAT32 filesystem. Try NTFS. We ultimately, don't want NTFS, but now when it gets inserted into the S9, this will force it to completely rewrite the filesytsem.
Physically turn off the S9, wait a bit, turn it back on, then insert the SD Card. The S9 should then prompt you with the deleting SD Card message.
If this works, it was likely some corruption on the SD Card's filesystem. If it doesn't, there's likely something physically wrong the SD Card or the S9 reader. Try a different card.

Re: S9 SD card installation help needed
I agree with DS -- try what he says and then try a different SD card.
The two files, identification.tgt and .crc, are always more than zero bytes long. It looks like the CPAP machine created the files but did not write data to them for some reason. This suggests an error on the SD card.
