Re: airsense 11 clinical settings
And for those that want the manual to download and read at their leisure or can't watch videos easily (that would be me)...available by request over on the apneaboard just like all their other manuals.
Request via email attachment.

Instructions about 2/3 down the page. Make sure to follow the directions.

Re: airsense 11 clinical settings
I would rather read than watch a video any day.
That way I can skip right to the relevant parts, without all the suffering.

.....except when the video is 37 seconds long. I like it. I haven't bought my 10 autoset yet so maybe this is the way to go.

Re: airsense 11 clinical settings
I personally have always preferred to offer the complete clinical/provider manual whenever possible because not only does it explain how to get into the setup menu ....it has a boatload of other very useful information that I strongly encourage people to become familiar with.
That is why I don't provide links to just a quick video for the secret handshake needed to get into the setup menu.
If/when I do provide such video links I will almost always include suggestion to get and read the clinical manual.
Exception being maybe the person already has the manual and doesn't understand from reading what is necessary and they learn better from visual cues.

Re: airsense 11 clinical settings
The problem with a 37 second long video is that it doesn't tell anybody what any of the other settings mean, or give any indication what, if anything, should be changed.
The clinical manual offers that information.
You shouldn't *ever* just tell people how to get into clinical mode without the rest of the information, lest they screw up something by accident.

Re: airsense 11 clinical settings
I just emailed the manual to Pugsy. Sorry, I've been in meetings all day so I couldn't have sent it earlier this morning.

Re: airsense 11 clinical settings
The thread title is a bit wrong. Or quite a bit wrong. It should be entitled pressure settings because that is what is described. I appreciate the mechanism for doing that. I'm sure there are other videos for the clinical settings which will take quite a bit more time. I do like videos as I seem to absorb things better.palerider wrote: ↑Tue Aug 17, 2021 2:19 pmThe problem with a 37 second long video is that it doesn't tell anybody what any of the other settings mean, or give any indication what, if anything, should be changed.

Re: airsense 11 clinical settings
A lot of people who ask about the clinician's menu have just changed machine brands or models. They know what they need to do once they get into the clinician's menu. The video gets them there quickly.
