downloading CMS50D plus data

Post by solarpower » Wed Feb 09, 2022 3:25 pm

Could someone please give me some advice with downloading CMS50D+ O2 data? I am using Windows 10. The CMS50D+ connects into the computer with a grey USB cord (with a larger than usual plug) which came with it. I plugged it directly into the computer (no dongle). Windows Explorer does not seem to recognize the device when I plug it in, although I do get a beep.
I have recorded O2 data on the CMS50D+.
I have downloaded SpO2 v1.2 from https://spo2.software.informer.com/ and installed it. I can open SpO2 review, but it says (no device available!) when I click on the New Session icon.
It says 'page not working' when I go to http://www.pulseoxstore.com/ to download software.
This worked with the same pulse oximeter back in 2016, several computers ago. Not sure what OS or software I had then.
Do I need different software or hardware to make this work, or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks

Make sure that you're using the cable that came with the device, it is *NOT* a plain USB cable, even though it looks like it. It's got a conversion chip inside and talks to the CMS50D+ over old school plain serial data.

Thanks.
I'm about 95% sure it is the correct cable. Not sure how to get to 100%. I tried but couldn't figure out how to upload a pic of the cable, assuming I am allowed to, and couldn't find a pic of it by googling.
I'm thinking maybe I need a more recent version of SpO2, but couldn't find one to download it from, other than the sites mentioned in my OP.
I couldn't get SPO2 assistant to work, although I only tried for a short time.

you can, as long as the pic is less than 1 meg. when you look at the bottom of your text box, you'll see two tabs. one reads "Options" and right next to it is "Attachments". click that second one and follow the directions.

good luck!

Oh, I just tried to attach a closeup pic, and it said, 'board attachment quota has been reached'. My pics are less than 1 MB. Oh well.

Uh Oh....looks like we are going to have to clean house again and remove some attachments.

The storage is full from everyone using the feature and there's no more room.

I can remove a few of mine but I don't use attachments very often...I try to use imgur.com to hose my images.

Try again in a few minutes. I will see if I can free up a little space.

i'm so sorry! yeah, just read where the forum software has reached it's peak, dammit.

see if you can after pugsy deletes some of hers. i'd delete mine, but haven't used the attachment in some time, mainly because the forum had this trouble before.

are you computer savvy enough to use a picture hosting site(imgur.com is free) and then cross post it here?

I got it to work today. Basically, I just had to download and replace the driver from Silicon Labs. Cooper Medical was very helpful.
