Is ViHealth working? Any other methods to get O2 Ring data? & other questions about O2 Ring.
I am shopping for an overnight recording oximeter and am considering the Wellue O2 Ring but the reviews of their ViHealth app scare me. A lot of recent reviews talk about an update breaking the app. (Lots of others complain about needing to turn location on and other problems. 2.6 starts. Almost twice as many 1+2 star reviews as 5 star. People love or hate it.)
Question #1: Is the O2 Insight Pro windows desktop app reliable for downloading data? (Since the ViHealth app appears to be flaky.) Any other transfer methods?
Question #2: Have the ViHealth app problems caused by a recent update been fixed? (Some "update broke the app" comments are prior to the latest January 25, 2022 update and some after.)
Question #3: Are old versions of the app available anywhere?
Question #4: Is anyone having serious problems? Or does the app usually work fine?
Question #5: Are there any counterfeit O2 Rings or all should be genuine?
Question #6: Is there a DIY method to replace the battery?
Question #7: Are there any old versions to avoid?
I am in Indonesia, where the few available decent oximeters are mostly way overpriced but it takes a couple months and annoying import process to buy from overseas but found a seller with a good price for a new one but I am wondering what the pitfalls could be. Counterfeit, old version with a bug, old battery that doesn't hold an overnight charge, ? Returns are not easy here. Mostly "no returns." So difficult to trust online sellers.

Best to stay with one thread for all your Q's, especially as they are essentially the same. Sorry I can't help with answers though.

Re: Is ViHealth working? Any other methods to get O2 Ring data? & other questions about O2 Ring.
I use the O2Ring. I find this to be very easy and comfortable.
I have not updated the iOS app for months because of hearing there were changes/issues. The most recent update is this week and I’m ignoring it. I have no problem exporting the binary file to a file in a location where OSCAR can read it.
The O2 Insight Pro software on my Mac had a glitch about a month ago, but was updated again and is fine. I think it lost track of a couple days of data because of the glitch. I don’t use it to download the binary files for OSCAR, since my old iOS app works for that. I make daily PDF reports from O2 Insight Pro because it shows more than the iOS app (a report more like what my doctor would want to see). Now and then I use the software to resync the clock on the O2Ring, and then I try to reset my VAuto clock to the same time.
I like the O2Ring better than my CMS50D+ because it is more comfortable and does not lose contact or give off weird readings (artifacts). It also allows up to 4 sessions (for instance if I have a nap, and then sleep in the night and get up to the bathroom once before going back to bed then that is three sessions).
I do not have any problem with battery. It lasts up to two nights, but I charge it every day to be sure it is full. I forgot my charger once and the battery ran down during one sleep session, but it saved all the data up to that point and downloaded fine once I’d charged it again. I’ve had it over six months, using it every night.
I can’t answer your other questions.
Personally, I’ve found the O2Ring to be a perfect solution for me.

I've used the ring for a year and a half and I would say it has been flawless. Likewise, I have had no problem with the software.I don't know if the battery can be DIY replaced, but so far my battery is fine. I charge it for 2 hours every morning after a nights usage and that is more than enough charging.

Thank you to SleepyCPAP & Thumper1947.
There are sites to download old app versions (apk) but I don't know how safe they are.

My phone and my tablet both have been nagging me for an "update".
Yeah, right . . .
Been there--done that--heck no, buster!

I'm using O2 ring for almost 2 years now. Ring itself works flawlessly. Unfortunately recently I did updated the ViHealth app and it was a total disaster!!! From that point on I have no access to the data on my ring.
I wish I knew how to find and download older version! Wellue help team is clueless as well - no help at all.
I can recommend the ring but not the software.

I downloaded the new software. its terrible. stay away. I called the company and complained about the update. she told me they will have a new update coming out soon. yesterday I downloaded the new one. no improvement. I tried logging in with user name and password. its comes back in Chinese. this software is made in china. anything that comes out of that country is very poorly made. I still have another iPad with the old software. I'm wont update. I'm going to call the company again and complain. I want software made in the United States not china.

I have the Lookee Wellue O2 Ring, ViHealth app for Android, and the app for Mac OS. The purchase went well and the Lookee people were available for advice after delivery. It has been a complicated hassle to get reports were I want them but done. The O2 ring is comfortable and does not disturb sleep. The reports can have alarming segments due to what I suspect to be malfunctions that I understand can occur due to movement during sleep. For a period of one hour oxygen level will be reported to travel from 97% down to 70% every 45 seconds. That must be a malfunction.
The charge on the ring will last two nights.
Getting the O2 report data into a file type that OSCAR will accept for insertion to a report required connecting my cell phone with ViHealth to my MacBook, using a conversion site to save the file to Mac, then loading the file to an OSCAR report.
O2 Insight Pro app for Mac will produce a report to view, but I could not find the file type OSCAR needs for an insert of the report.

Same here . . . the ring seems fine, but with no access to reliable data it is useless! Hoping for a RELIABLE UPDATE soon!!!Amkb wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 8:26 amI'm using O2 ring for almost 2 years now. Ring itself works flawlessly. In the meantime, does anyone with a Macbook Air use the "O2 Insight Pro" software on their laptop? Is it reliable? Can you share the PDF reports by email (to your doctor, etc)?
EDIT: I tried using the "O2 Insight Pro" software on my MacBook Air laptop - the same problems occurred as with the UPDATED ViHealth app on my iPhone: Sessions were split, and more than half of the night's data was missing. (I always charge the battery daily.)

I agree the new software is useless. I have emailed a request for a link to download the old software and if they do provide me one, I will post it here. I'm not holding my breath however as the ring has been flawless for two years for me, their support has been the opposite.
