I have been using 15 mm slimline tubing with my resmed airfit N20. I have an unused regular 22 mm tubing I want to use as a temporary replacement. I changed the setting in the Resmed Airsense 10 to "Standard" tubing from slimline. However, it occurred to me that the one foot long connector tube (that clicks into the Airfit N20 cushion) appears to be slim (about 15 mm wide).
Do I need to get a standard width connector piece in order for the machine to function correctly on the "Standard" setting with the Standard tubing? In other words, is there a slimline connector for slimline tubing and a standard connector for standard tubing?
Also, what is the name of the connector tubing I'm referencing as well as the short elbow piece at the end that connects the tubing to the machine? I want to buy replacements, but not sure what they're officially called.
Able to use slimline connector for N20 with Standard 22 mm tubing?
Re: Able to use slimline connector for N20 with Standard 22 mm tubing?
We set the hose setting on the machine to reflect the long hose from the machine.
The slight difference that might be with the short hose that comes with some masks we ignore in terms of settings.
It's not enough difference to matter.
Normally the short hose with the nasal mask will hook right into the new long hose from the machine.
Connections are pretty much universal and no special connector is needed.
Most of the time when people think the long hose and mask hose don't connect it's because something is missing from the mask (usually left in the old long hose) and thus preventing the mask from connecting to the new long hose.
Or sometimes the other way around...people change to a new mask and it won't fit because something from the prior mask gets stuck in the old hose.

My N-20 plugs into both my slimline hose and my standard heated hose no problem and no adaptors needed
