Advantages of Resmed AirCurve VAuto 11 Bi-Level;
Over AirCurve™ 10 VAuto BiLevel Machine with HumidAir™ Heated Humidifier

I am not sure I would have a choice. I notice one sells for $1100.00 more one would think it would have to be a lot, lot better.

My current V10 is recording Events, that I am pretty sure are fictitious. I went through the turn it off, unplug it for thirty minutes.
The total number of events looks like it averaged the whole night. Odd way to do data. I will see if tonight that data glitch goes away.

It has always made me get up and put water in water chamber every two hours. I live in east Texas, not a lot of super cold nights with zero humidity. I do have forced air heat though, which should dry air some.

I think it was easier to sleep when I turned humidifier off. A doctor told me to use humidifier though.

Where and how did you get an AirCurve 11 VAuto and where do you see an $1100 price difference?

According to the ResMed website they aren't even offering the AirCurve 11 models yet.
Only the AirSense models.

What are these alleged 'events' that you think the machine is making up?

It's easy to see if it's an apnea, or snoring, or flow limitations, hypopneas are a little harder to spot.

So, don't use it, I almost never put water in my humidifier, other people have other needs.

Probably one that's never used a CPAP.

Averages, I would like to see the first two hours separate from last 7. But the data on Resmed site does not seem to do that.

My sleep doc replied on question of having a bunch of Events during the afternoon.
He suggested that the machine sees our awake breathing as different than our true sleeping breathing. Events recorded differently. Not to worry about it.

Humidifier. Yeah, two and half hours seems off to me. I have forced air heat, which dries the air. A/C dries the air. Freezing temps, really dry air.

Might be fun to live up near the rain forest of Washington State. Oops. I also have arthritis.

I would rather believe that something is wrong with machine. DME said to ship them the machine, give them so much money, and they would ship it off somewhere to be evaluated. I would be without a machine for six eight weeks. No loaners.

Why would anybody think that would even make sense?

No clue what you're referring to, if anything... but the *machine* doesn't know if you're awake or asleep.

No, it doesn't.

Belief is a powerful thing, for some people, it's more than reality.
