Medicare problem paying for ASV machine

I am trying to move from a PIPAP ST machine to an ASV machine. My doctor diagnosed me with Centra Sleep Apnea. Medicare refuses to pay for the ASV machine because it has the same accounting code (EO470) as the PIPAP ST machine. The machine have totally different functions.
I am told that Medicare may have a hearing on the subject this summer. Has anyone experienced this Medicare problem? Does anyone know about a possible Medicare meeting?
Any way to convince Medicare to pay? I am trying to get my doctor to prepare a Certificate of Medical Necessity.
