In putting on my magnet mask last night and taking it off this morning, I noticed it is common to hold it near the chest and even lay it on the chest.

From the FDA notice in the OP:
You may continue using the mask, if you or someone near you when using the recalled mask, do not have any of the implanted metallic medical devices or metallic objects in the body listed above that may be affected by the magnets in the masks.
I don't know if this was aimed at me or not.
It wasn't aimed at you, but since your brought i up, take this,

The dummies at Amazon just pulled the excellent replacement Dreamwear headgear with arms from their market. It's not listed in the recall and has no magnets.

Another point of view here. I think this is all driven by Phillips legal department, fearing that some consumer would bring a lawsuit based on the argument that Phillips did not adequately warn the user and protect the user from harm. Few consumers read the booklets from manufacturers, which is why such seemingly crazy legal arguments do sometimes prevail. Does anyone remember the consumer who successfully sued McDonalds because she spilled her coffee and burned herself -- claiming that McDonalds did not adequately warn her, and she WON the lawsuit. Not logical or reasonable but true.

Other documents obtained from McDonald's showed that from 1982 to 1992 the company had received more than 700 reports of people burned by McDonald's coffee to varying degrees of severity, and had settled claims arising from scalding injuries for more than $500,000.[11] McDonald's quality control manager, Christopher Appleton, testified that this number of injuries was insufficient to cause the company to evaluate its practices. He argued that all foods hotter than 130 °F (54 °C) constituted a burn hazard, and that restaurants had more pressing dangers to worry about. The plaintiffs argued that Appleton conceded that McDonald's coffee would burn the mouth and throat if consumed when served.
So in essence, McDonald’s felt the injuries were the cost of doing business their way.

BTW she initially wanted to settle for $20k to cover her medical expenses for 3rd degree burns and the required skin grafts.

The new Bleep Eclipse will use magnets too I understand.

Wonder if they would be affected
Here's some technical information.
To be taken and used with a bit of old fashioned common sense.

Phillips...magnetic strength of 400 mT with a magnetic field of 6 INCHES.

Bleep/Eclipse....magnetic strength of 65 mT with a magnetic field of 2 CENTIMETERS.

Stuart has shared with me that they have passed the most recent FDA requirements which were changed from 6 months ago.
They are still hoping for a hard release mid October.

The Bleep/Eclicpse is good to go. There will be a warning on the package as to magnetic properties just in case about implants and "consult your doctor if you have something implanted".

I have a metal plate in my cervical spine. Now it doesn't do anything except hold my spine together but I had actually forgot about it. No issues with it...or the actual spinal cord stimulator implanted down by my hip and transmitting up to leads that are placed around T12 area.

I just hate it when ignorant people trot this out without having any knowledge whatsoever about the actual FACTS in the case.

McDonalds had been serving coffee much hotter than the industry standard for years, because they could get a little more use out of the coffee beans, and thus save a few pennies per cup. The lady who got *THIRD DEGREE BURNS* on her thighs and groin, requiring SKIN GRAFTS to heal them, had only asked McDonalds to cover her medical bills, they blew her off.

I see that the wikipedia link about the lawsuit has already been posted.

Maybe next time you want to post something, you'll learn about the subject first.
