Highest total hours?

What's the highest total hours of use you've logged on a single cpap machine before it stopped working, and what machine was it? TIA

I have never done over 16,500, but many people get over 20,000. Resmed machines have a message that appears on the screen that says your machine has exceeded it's expected live at about 22,000 hours.

29,000+ hours on a Phillips Respironics System One (DS550HS) back in April when I switched to an Airsense11.

An older thread, but thought I would post anyway. My Resmed S7 has 49,863 hours on it. I've had it since sometime in the early 2000's. About 10 or 12 years ago, I put a relatively new fan in it that I bought on eBay. It's starting to get a bit noisy, though. Might be time for a new machine, but my S7 is like an old friend.

That is 17.something *years* of 8hours/night use. Old friend indeed! My first AS10 is going on 23,000hours and on a new motor. Have you checked the calibrations? Manometer is easy to make. Run it until it quits! But have a spare handy.

Get a current machine. Recommend AirSense 10 AutoSet. If the machine you get has a warranty, use it full-time until several months after the warranty expires. Keep the S7 as a backup. I like to sleep with my backup machine about once a month to make sure it still works. (Same with Gramps.😉)

Regarding the S7, if your data shows good therapy and you feel good, there is no need to check with a manometer.

I have 1700 hours on my CPAP machine which is about 6 months old. I believe it had hours on it when it was first given to me by my DME provider. Is that a lot of hours for 6 months of use?

1700/180=9.4 hours per day
