Cpap resmed 11 auto won't turn on

Post by thesoundofmerk » Thu Mar 09, 2023 7:51 am

Hey there, new to the forum.

I just got a cpap resmed 11 auto about 3 months ago, Last night I woke up from sleeping, and somehow i must have tugged my cpap, and I noticed it was upside down, but working. I turned it over and almost instantly it stopped working completely, no green light, nothing, it just won't turn on no matter what I do. I thought maybe it was the power supply, but the green light is on on the power supply. If i wait a bit and plug it in, the green light on the cpap blinks for a second, then the light on the power supply and machine both go off, and nothing happens.

I really hope I don't have to buy another Cpap! Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Did you have water in the tank? It might have worked its way into the electronics and it shorting some things out. I'd let it dry for several hours with a fan on it before trying again. There's a decent chance that once it dries out it will work again, but maybe not.

Check the plug from outlet to power block...then check the plug in the back of the machine. If they are in tight, move to another wall outlet.
If all fails..there is a 2 year warranty on the machine.

Did water from the humidifier spill into the machine electronics? If so, let it dry, replace the air filter, and if the machine still doesn't work, take it to the DME for replacement under warranty. Don't mention water or the accident.

If you don't have a replacement air filter, make sure yours is dry and not water-stained.

Note: many computers have water sensitive paint somewhere inside,
that changes color if it has been wet.
Whatever happens--deny, deny, deny.
Then accuse them of wetting it down to avoid warranty coverage.
One-way valves exist--not using one in a device with a water tank is inexcusable.
