Resmed Airsense 10, bilevel

Post by wagg20 » Mon May 08, 2023 6:48 am

I am so frustrated. My machine does not record time used properly. I have been told I take my mask on and off several times a night, which I didn't believe. I set up a game camera and it did not show that I took it off at all. Does anyone have the same problem or know how I can fix or make "them" believe me?

There is no bipap/bilevel machine in the ResMed AirSense 10 model line.
There is the AirCurve 10 model though. Is that what you have?
And what is telling you that you have been having a lot of "mask off" events?

Turning the machine off and back on again will make the machine think the mask was removed....even if it wasn't.

How's your leak numbers? Large leaks will cause the machine to turn itself off if the SmartStart is enabled.
Is your SmartStart enabled?

Who is "them"?
Why would they care what your machine says--especially if it's not accurate?

These devices record time used very accurately, once you understand how they work, and the nuances of when and how they report.

If you are getting the time from the screen display, then they are accurate and timely.

If you are getting the time from MyAir, then there is a delay for the data to upload to ResMed's and then be presented back via the App or Webpage.

And time is sliced into "ResMed Day's" (noon to noon) not conventional days (midnight to midnight).

Finally, as Pugsy suggested, the MyAir mask on/off attribute, has nothing to do with taking one's mask on or off, and has to do with turning the machine on and off. This is so badly named named that you and others believe the machine can detect when one actually removes one's mask. It can't.

BTW, if you're going interested in asking about ResMed time or mask on/off , don't title the topic, your machine name. You're less like to get someone who may know anything about what you're asking.
