CPAP pillows

Post by njf » Sun Jun 25, 2023 5:24 am

Hi

I have been a CPAP user for a couple of months now. So far I have found the N30i to be the most comfortable mask, coupled with mouth taping to reduce leaks. I am a stomach sleeper with my head turned to one side or the other. Moving my head at night obviously can introduce leaks and the over the head connection helps with that.

I have only just discovered the existence of CPAP pillows and I think that may help me. Can anyone recommend one for the way I sleep? There are some for side sleepers but are there any for stomach sleepers for me? I suppose side sleepers turn their whole body round if they switch sides. That's not what a stomach sleeper does.

I did try to search the forum but my searches only showed up pillow masks, not what I am looking for.

Welcome!

I don't know the answer to your question about CPAP pillows, but I've thought of two things for you to consider.

The first is the Falcon sleep position:

wiki/index.php/Sleep_Positions

As you'll see, this is a way to stomach-sleep without a pillow.

The second is that you might have less mask movement if you used a hose lift (aka hose stand) to get your hose completely up and out of the way. The Hose Buddy is very sturdy; the Houdini is more nimble but less solidly made. Both are available on Amazon.
