Wellue O2 Ring multiple sessions during the night

I just started using a Wellue O2 Ring and most of the time it divides the night into multiple sessions (usually 3), with a two minute gap before the next session, and a vibration at the start of the next session (ring reset?).
These multiple sessions import into Oscar just fine, but some nights it is just one session which I believe it should be. The position of the ring is on my left thumb below the knuckle (it is snug), and I have tried it on my index finger, also with the same results.
Does anyone else have this problem?
I'm just trying to figure out if the ring is defective.

I've never had this happen that I recall with mine, maybe try a different finger, or rotate the thing around to different orientation? Sounds like some odd behavior based on my experience.

I did also find some time back that it seemed to need a snug fit to get an accurate reading but you've got that covered.

Well, from everything that I have read about the ring, it should not be doing this - so, back to Amazon for a replacement...

In my experience of using this device, your results are not unusual. I get any number of readings each night from one to as many as four. I have seen no reasons for the differences, but I just upload all of each night's results without any missing data (usually). Maybe just the ring get accidently repositioned during the night as you move around and the ring has to restart from that time????

Try some medical tape to immobilize the o2ring like they do for fingertip oximeters in sleep tests.

Don't wrap the tape too tightly or you're going to have an annoying numb finger (from past experience)
