Dishwasher safe water chamber for Airsense and Aircurve 10
The water chamber provided by Resmed for the Airsense and Aircurve 10 is not expected to be dishwasher safe. I purchased the one that was, and it survived the dishwasher, as expected. I'm wondering, though, if the standard one really would be melted by such treatment? If there is enough interest in this question, I might try it and report the results. If the standard one does survive being washed in a machine, however, I would not be responsible for the consequences if someone else tried it and it was rendered unusable. I can use a heat gun to measure the temperature reached during the operation.

From Resmeds website...... https://www.resmed.com/en-us/sleep-apne ... equipment/
It's really all that's needed. I use warm water and Dawn dish liquid which works fine.
Humidifier tub cleaning tips
Daily cleaning tips:
1 - Unplug your CPAP machine from the power source.
2 - Disconnect the humidifier tub from the CPAP machine.
3 - Empty the humidifier tub and wipe it thoroughly with a clean disposable cloth. Allow it to dry out of direct sunlight.
4 - The humidifier tub should always be clean, clear and free of discoloration.
Weekly cleaning tips:
1 - Once a week, soak your humidifier tub in warm water using a mild dishwashing liquid OR in a solution with a ratio of 1 part vinegar and 9 parts water at room temperature.
2 - After soaking, rinse thoroughly with warm, drinking-quality water.
3 - Place the humidifier tub on a flat surface, on top of a towel, to dry. Avoid placing in direct sunlight.

I get the cleanable tank, but only wash it by hand--and not very often at that.
(Still waiting to get my dishwasher installed.)

There are two types. One is "dishwasher safe" the other is not.
In both plastic is connected to metal.
Maybe they use different adhesives, and the one that not dishwasher safe will have a bigger propensity to spring a leak at that seam.

I wonder if the metal is different, as it was in the S9 line.
Stainless steel vs light aluminum.
I suspect the plastic is different too.
Of course, the design looks much more similar in the Airsense 10 line.
Remember the standard s9 tub.
Opening that puppy up was SCARY!!!

But that S9 tub had no seams it could leak from. I recently had to revert to my S9 when the AS10 sprung a leak at the seam. That single piece, smooth, rounded metal tub was so easy to rinse and dry compared to the AS10.... once you managed to open it.
I wonder what they mean by "a clean disposable cloth" that you're supposed to use for cleaning the AS10 tub - it used to be you were very careful to air dry the tub to avoid leaving fibers from cloths in it.
Frankly, those instruction look like an afterthought - nobody told the tub designer that "easy to clean and dry" was a necessary feature - and now they've realized how problematic that design is:
Depending on the type of water in your area, those corners can become a real challenge to maintain free of discolorations (calcium, rust from old pipes and what have you). Regardless of "distilled" or "filtered".... and then there's the mineral residue left when the hard water dries out!
