I've been using the Resmed Airsense 11 (auto) for a little over two weeks now. On two separate occasions, there was no detailed data on the SD card; Oscar told me "nothing there." All other days are fine.
I thought perhaps the SD card was not properly inserted, but examining the SD card data structure with a file browser I noticed there is a directory entry for the missing days, just no data in the directory.
Has anyone else run into this problem, or have any insights? Mahalo in advance!

Does that mean the summary data was there?
Kind of an is-it-plugged-in question: Was the card perhaps locked on those days? If it was, the next time it was used unlocked, the summary data would download, but the detailed data is gone forever.
Re: AirSense 11 doesn't record to SD card once in a while
There was actually NO data on the SD card for the dates in question. The card was not locked. Actually something DID get written to the card: the directory entry for the day(s) on which the data was missing.
The machine was definitely on! I used it all night on those nights, and the very high level data (AHI and hours) was available on the touch screen.
I'm completely baffled. Why would it work most days but just write an empty directory on a couple of day?

Re: AirSense 11 doesn't record to SD card once in a while
My best guess is a corrupt file of some sort for some unknown reason.
I know I have had that happen a handful of times over the years and I know for a fact the SD card was inserted correctly and not locked (I never lock the card) and I know for a fact that I slept using the machine all night despite a big goose egg for usage or even summary data. Not the AirSense 11 model but the AirCurve 10 model....and I have seen it happen myself.
Never could figure it out even when I verified using ResScan software that it wasn't just an OSCAR software problem.
ResScan gave me big goose eggs for the same handful of nights.
Crap happens....as they say.

Re: AirSense 11 doesn't record to SD card once in a while
It probably:
Summary and compliance data will be written to the SD Card for every date, upon SD insertion. This data is retained in the device memory and written to the SD Card, if it's not present.
ie:
Say you don't insert the SD Card into your ResMed tonight, and then use it. No detail data will be written. But upon insertion of the SD Card, the Summary and Compliance data will get written to the SD Card into a directory named after it's respective data.
BTW - a common problem reported for the Air 11, has been missing detail data attributed to an improperly seated SD Card.
- wasn't seated properly
- was write protected
- left in the computer over night

Additionally the blue lights blink rapidly when you insert the SD card. It helps if you wake up the screen on the front and then insert the sd. the blue light blinks rapidly near where you insert it. if there is no error message on the screen then it is probably OK.
it will show the basic AHI and usage and not much else if you don’t have it seated properly.
I have been bummed when I open up the SD card and find I didn’t have any day recorded. Keep trying!

Had you seen this data at an earlier point?chipschap wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 10:24 amI've been using the Resmed Airsense 11 (auto) for a little over two weeks now. On two separate occasions, there was no detailed data on the SD card; Oscar told me "nothing there." All other days are fine.

If so, is it possible when you removed the card from the computer you didn't use the *eject* function?
Keep tryin. Mahalo
