Hello friends
Because I stopped breathing during my sleep, I underwent the necessary tests and it turned out that I had sleep apnea. I was advised to use an Auto Cpap device. In the country I live in, health insurance does not cover this. So I have to choose a brand/model myself. In the report, it is only written that it has a humidifier and heating. There is a huge difference in prices and I can't decide which device to choose. There is a machine for 800€ and a machine for 30000€. what could be the difference between them that there can be such a price difference?
One of the recommended products (800€);

but the product below looks the same but has a price of 30000€.

Note: The € price I have given does not exactly reflect the truth. I only wrote it that way for you to see the numerical difference.
Choosing a new auto cpap device
Re: Choosing a new auto cpap device
I don't know anything about the Chinese company VentMed or its machines, myself. I am a fan of ResMed machines and approach for treating SDB but not really a fan of ResMed's business approach as a company. One comparison seems to indicate that in comparison to the ResMed machine, the VentMed machine has a good warranty (5yrs) but is louder (36dB).

Welcome! Just to check, are you diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea, central apnea, or some of each?

Some machines report therapy result, and there's a free program called OSCAR the will let you see your results in very informative charts on a daily basis.
I would not look at a machine that does not have detailed software to report the effect of the therapy on your nightly breathing.

I'm a big fan of the Resmed Airsense 10, a work-horse machine that is perhaps the most popular machine out there.
Since the pandemic it's been available without a modem for a *lot* cheaper, I bought mine brand new last November for <400USD. See if the Airsense 10 Card-to-Cloud (missing modem) is available to you.
Found this, unfortunately it appears to be on backorder... anyway, this is the perfect machine for you at a good price.
