Is Uncle Nick losing it, or onto something again?
Suspicious that a necessary fix comes down along with a wish-list grab using that microphone... if you disable your modem you don't get the necessary fix. Everyone, get a 10 while you still can... there's a new tub for it, it's now the best machine available. If you have an 11 and wish to disable the modem and/or microphone you'll have to get inside and void any warranty. The code in the 10 series is open... this is not known to most folks... they can't hide anything in there, it's not encrypted, experts can take it apart to see what it does. The 11 is a closed book.

I don't watch his videos. On principle.
So I'm not aware what he's lost or what he's on.

Care to explain? I like Nick. Never hurt me or lied to me. Done a lot for the community as far as I can tell. You're not one of those 11 lovers, are you?
Here's Lanky Jason on the same subject.

But you do you.
I prefer the 10 CtC over the 11. But the S8s may be my overall all-time faves, especially for travel.

Ah, I see... y'all have a *history*. I will note that I see Nick doing *no* PAP therapy analysis these days... that cyclic breathing thing was a dead stinker. Consider my eyes opened. I still don't hate Nick and I do recommend SleepHQ for sharing data. Jason at AXG is my lodestone for therapy, he's never led me astray with his advice.lazarus wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2024 7:36 amHistory. Attitude. Attacks. Inaccuracies. Misleading info. Motives. Etc.:

CrimsonNape and the folks behind Oscar are indeed honorable... but why are we here and not at ApneaBoard? Because SuperSleeper is a fascist and runs his fiefdom like a SleepStalag. Working with Oscar screenshots has to be the most frustrating thing... speaking as a software professional it would take a modicum of work to create a way to share a night as a downloadable profile... it's open-source... where do you think SleepHQ came from?
Curious that you spec the C2C... modem-wary? I only go as far back as the S9... it sits there, forlorn... my first (of six) machine. Glad I got my C2C for 399$... that Elite (now running vAuto) for 299$ was a steal. See what I just mentioned there? Gets you kicked *right off* ApneaBoard... another for-profit entity as noted in the welcoming docs here.I prefer the 10 CtC over the 11. But the S8s may be my overall all-time faves, especially for travel.

Re: Is Uncle Nick losing it, or onto something again?
Nope. He made his own history in how he treated people, all on his own--as the links in this forum clearly show.
Not I. The C2C was dependable, cheap, and available.
I love the automatic nature and convenience of MyAir, when I use a machine with a modem . Naturally, detailed troubleshooting, when necessary, requires more than MyAir. But it doesn't matter to me which free software or forum(s) are used to do that.
I tend to point struggling people to Pugsy's posts and approach for her focused, experience-based, no-nonsense, logical approach to PAP and evaluations. She ain't into jumping on trendy fads or trying to be famous; she just provides good info and helps people.
So I'm not gonna donate any clicks to Nick. My preference is to glance at ApneaBoard's old-school approach rather than to support Nick's fake-info-clickbait-dancing-clown-routine approach to PAP "information."
Hey, just me.

Nobody's perfect; but Pugsy comes closer than anybody else.
Fame seeking, or collecting clicks, patrons, or sales does not rock my bed.

I had to disconnect from Nicko and just yesterday from Lanky Lefty for the same reasons, although Lanky isn’t quite as bad. I use the AS 11 and I’m happy with it. I did recently experience the failed heater, but I was able to get the problem remedied without missing a night, and it’s the only problem I’ve experience with the machine in two years. With all the sites, forums, blogs, YouTube sites and FB pages I joined to absorb as much information as I could to educate myself, I’ve learned there isn’t a cpap machine that people haven’t complained about, although the AS 11 has been the worst. And I have to wonder if Resmed should ever consider getting out of the cpap market like Fisher & Paykel (cpap machines only but not their masks) is doing, what will people find to complain about next?
