Resmed 11 Water Chamber Capacity Increaser

Post by pooolboy » Mon Jun 03, 2024 3:04 pm

My Resmed 11 water chamber hits the min. mark and I wake up too early like clockwork. Have tried all settings. No joy. Some time ago I thought I saw a field expedient solution to increasing the water chamber capacity. I can't find it again and REALLY want to find it! Thanks.

1. What is your humidifier setting?

2. What are your pressure settings?

3. What is your leak level?

ClearSpring costs a couple hundred bucks and is the normal solution.

Drill a hole and put a gerbil bottle on the side, hillbilly solution.

If you have leaking going on then that will blow through your water... the 11 series has a known leak issue with the heated hose where it joins the machine... if you pull it sideways it can crack open and leak. The work around is to face it away from you so the hose comes out toward you like it should have been designed.

I like my humidifier on max/max so I wake up after 7 hours and rinse/refill it... need to pee then anyway.

If you’re at all handy this will take 20 mins. Just have a spare humidifier tank handy.

The Clearspring system is a great idea.. but be careful as they fell way short on design. MANY problems associated with sensors, connections and clips making this a very high maintenance system prone to breakdowns. https://cspring.store/?gad_source=1&gcl ... gKCpPD_BwE

The biggest problem with that system is that its cheaply made.. sensor clips always needing replaced, sensors not working, etc. Once you get it working you can NOT even think of touching or moving the tank and system or else it all just starts failing again. Seems like every time you refill the main tank (weekly or biweekly depending on settings) it has a high chance to not work again until clips or sensors are replaced again. Super low quality. Great idea, bad implementation.

I'm not following you here. Is the water chamber empty or just at the min. mark?

I just took a look at the water reservoir for my AirCurve 10 and at the min. mark there's still plenty of water left in the tub.

Are you running dry or just down to the min. mark?
