Lofta Sleep Study Results - Need Advice

Post by strawhatluffy777 » Mon Jul 15, 2024 3:28 pm

Hello all,

I just got a Lofta sleep study test done and below are the results along with the screenshots of the report breakdown.
My overall questions are:

1) Does this report warrant getting treatment with an APAP? Would this mean UARs or would a resmed 10 autoset work if I wanted to get treatment on this?
2) Any other ways I can help make this AHI or RDI number lower without a machine? I already use nasal opening strips and try to sleep on my sides.

Summary and Diagnosis:
Obstructive Sleep Apnea (G47.33) - Mild, based on (REM-predominant) pAHI= 6.6 and pRDI= 15.8, and O2 nadir of 92%

Age: 28
Gender: Male
Weight: 165lbs
Height: 5' 11"

Symptoms:
- Dry mouth when waking up (mouth breathing?)
- yawning or some tiredness in the afternoon
- some blood reports showing on the higher range of Hemoglobin (17.1-17.3) and Hematocrit (50%)

Things taken before bed / Sleep Hygiene:
- Mag glycinate 400mg with dinner
- Zyrtec a few hours before bed
- Melatonin 1mg right before getting into bed
