Hello All,
I've had a bipap with s/t before and then before the pandemic they switched it out to one without a backup rate and lower pressure (led to my OSA turning into CSA). Plus during the pandemic my compliance using my bipap was terrible but I changed that. MY sleep study last December was quite bad in the sense that 8/4 with no backup rate gave me like 70 CAI and a 102.6 REM AHI. I've attached the info at the end for those that are interested. 11/5 was the only pressure tested with a backup rate in the sleep study
And now I finally got my Bipap ST on 11/5 with 16 BUR. Idk if I should fight with the doc for the ST-A, please let me know?
For my first six nights with the machine, I had 0.3 AHI (7hr+), 0.2 AHI (7hr+), and 0.0 AHI (8hr+), 0.1 AHI (8hr), 0.0 AHI (8hr), and 0.0 (8 hr) and it showed up in the myair app. I think this is more successful than even my physician envisioned.
If my numbers continue to stay low, does that mean I am receiving good ventilation? Also my MV is 5.3L/min. I also no longer feel sluggish in the morning and my stamina is overall better.
But I checked myair leak and it says Leak 95% is 38.64 L/min. I get smiley face on my machine every day I've been using the machine for that regard.
My mask is quieter for the most part than my last mask.
I've also realized that myair leak numbers and clinical leak numbers differ but its ranged from 28-36 L/min on the clinical numbers on the machine and for myair its differed from 42L/ min, 35 L/min, 54 L/min (trying sum new that failed ), 35 L/min, and 28 L/min last night (figured out a way better tightening style). Last night I had 0.0 AHI
I wanted to get your opinion on whether my AHI is accurate or its being undereported, I apologize in advance for not getting oscar I had trouble setting that up.

I'm a fan of OSCAR, but I recommend a free account at SleepHQ.com instead for newbies. Once you upload your data to SleepHQ, you can post a link to it in this thread. It will already be formatted properly, your personal identification will already be redacted, and you don't need to bother with using a hosting site for images. SleepHQ also allows the cpaptalk members to zoom in to your graphs when helping you. (I might also switch to SleepHQ after using OSCAR for many years.)
SleepHQ is so easy!
