Dreamwear mask problem

Post by JaVelin » Fri Sep 20, 2024 4:11 pm

HI folks

So I'm due for a new mask and the best one for me have been the Philips Dreamwear one i'm using now. No sooner did I say out loud that it's time for a new one that this one came disconnected at the nose pillow piece on one side in the middle of the night and I was able to just pop it back together in my sleep but it happened a couple more times and I thought, well, i'll try the other pillow part from the kit and discovered it's either made diferent or I'm not doing something right. the rubber the old one is made from seems relaxed and very floppy and won't retain the plug in hard plastic part that would normally snap into place and stay. at the same time the new piece is so tight I can't get it to fit at all! so anyone have any idea what the problem is?

I was able to make it work last night by pushing the hard plastic end all the way in on the air pillow on both sides now but it'll be a few days into next week before a new mask arrives and I'd like to be able to sleep lol The rubber seems like some kind of oil got on it and it's loosing it's integrity

I think this mask might be counterfeit. The joint between the cushion and the snap in part seems made differently than the OE philips one. is this possible?
