Please watch this video, taken while I wore my nasal pillows. As 13 cm H₂0 is my normal air pressure, why's AirSense 10 lying about automatically ramping up to 20 cmH₂0, without in fact pressuring the air?
My sister, brother, husband replicated this glitch while wearing my nasal pillows. None of us felt any increase in air pressure, as AirSense allegedly ramped up. Is my 3-year-old AirSense broken?
Why's AirSense 10 purporting to ramp up from 13 to 20, without pressurizing the air?

It doesn't "spout more air". It's increasing the pressure.
Is that one person or three?

Your machine will not increase pressure unless it detects an apnea event. Is your machine set to APAP with a min. of 13 and max. of 20? It will remain at 13 cm until flow restrictions or apnea events trigger a pressure increase.
Do a mask fit test. The pressure will rise to the maximum setting. You should feel the difference. If the machine goes to a higher pressure during sleep and you do not wake from it, you will not detect the difference.
Set up an SD card and OSCAR for your machine. It will track and display pressure changes on reports. Maybe "purporting," means you have seen the ramping up of pressure on an OSCAR report but feel you are not getting the higher pressure. Or maybe it means you've read it will ramp up pressure as needed but don't feel the pressure. If you are asleep you will not feel it.
One way I know my APAP is working is when it goes to higher pressure large leaks occur. Hopefully, you don't have that problem.
