Chin Strap inquiry

Does anyone use a chin strap effectively? I am a mouth breather with severe nasal congestion and yet I have persisted my way through 2.5 years of CPA therapy with a therapeutic ahi of less than 2. I am already using a mouth guard for TMJ upper and lower and minimal strap with resmed air fit F40. I often times experience throat irritation early in the night due to mouth breathing, I presume. Any suggestions on trying a chin strap, which one is good, and do I even need one?

this doesn't answer the question but I won't let THAT stop me!

here is what I use as I never for the chinstrap deal to work-

and I add to that with-

that may be a bit much for you but it works for me.

also, I use fixodent to keep my lips together.
