Humidifier don't work??? The front light is flashing???
Hi all,
This morning I waked up with a really dry mouth feeling... I check My machine and see that the water in the humidifier was at the same level than when I go sleep... so the humidifier does not work anymore!!!! I restart de machine and can see that the blue light on the button of the humidifier was flashing....
Somebody know what's the matter??
What is the problem?
Thanks

My humidifier started flashing one night. I turned it off and back on and it was ok. I have no idea why it was flashing.

I went here to find the manual for your humidifier:
http://global.respironics.com/manualsandliterature.asp
On page 13, it says "On/Off flashing that indicates an error condition exists. This is either a safe state condition or an AC loss error (heater plate not heating)."
Page 20 is entirely devoted to troubleshooting the blinking light.
PROBLEM:
The blue LED is blinking.
Why it Happened/What to Do:
1. There is no communication between the therapy device and the humidifier.
Following the Daily Use section earlier in this manual, check the outlet power and verify that the humidifier and therapy device are properly plugged in. Make sure the AC power cord is connected correctly to the power supply and the power supply cord is correctly plugged into the wall. If the problem continues to occur, contact your home care provider. Return the humidifier, therapy device, and power supply to your provider, so they can determine if the problem is with the therapy device, humidifier, or power supply.
2. The therapy device is not seated properly on the humidifier platform.
Remove the therapy device from the humidifier base and reconnect. Be sure to use the guide on the humidifier base to slide the therapy device onto the base. Make sure the air inlet port on the humidifier connects securely to the air outlet port on the device.
Make sure you removed the therapy device air outlet port. It MUST be removed before connecting to the humidifier.
To remove the port:
a. Put your thumb underneath the port and insert your index finger into the port opening.
b. Pivoting from the bottom, unsnap the port and pull it away from the device.
3. The heater plate is not heating.
Check the power connections to the humidifier. If the problem continues, contact your home care provider or Respironics.
Note: If the humidifier is functioning but the water is not heating, you can temporarily use the humidifier as a passover humidifier.

Flashing Light On Humidifier
I had the same problem one night, so I just ditched the Cpap for the night to try again the next night. My hubby found water under the machine (from some kind of leak I suppose). We dried it out (with the machine unplugged of course) and when we plugged it back up and turned it back on, the light was no longer flashing and I have had no problems since.

Funny (or not) but mine just blinked at me last night as well. I noticed it after I turned off the lights to go to sleep. I know I has spilled a little water when filling it so I took it out, dried off the bottom, put it back in and everything was fine.
Hope yours doesn't need returning!
