Review of padacheek product

Post by Organplayer » Sat Aug 04, 2007 3:36 pm

About a week and a half ago I was chatting with padacheek and complaining about my my mask. I wear a quattro but it has been rubbing the bridge of my nose to the point of bleeding. Our lovely maker of mask pads was getting ready to leave for vacation, but offered nonetheless to help me out with my nose problem.
So a couple of days ago I arrive home and my wife says I got a package from VA and who did I know there and WHAT was I getting . I opened the envelope to find a pad that fits on the forehead portion of the mask, but then had a little something extra, a nose cover that came down from the pad to cover my nose. Excited at the prospect of solving a minor but irritating cpap problem, I ran to the bedroom and put it on. I wore the mask around a little to see about the fit (and also freaked out the dogs, irritated the children and received the evil eye from spouse). Slept all night with not a new rub in sight and my old rub is healing (with a little help from newskin).
So,the moral of this cautionary tale is ask padacheek and you will receive help.
And, the new pad goes with all my pajamas (the pad and my pjs are blue.)
Thanks padacheek and your gift for helping us hoseheads. The pad and the nose cover make me happy.

An unpaid review and someone who has no vested interest in padacheek.

Kevin

So the nose pad doesn't interfere with the seal?

It did not for me. In fact, it helped the seal at the bridge.

I have the same mask you do, Organplayer. I've been having kind of the same problem as you (but not to the point of bleeding yet, thankfully).

Maybe when padacheek gets back from vacation I can order the same modified mask pads you got!

All I can say is Pad-A-Cheek is -THE-BEST-KEPT-SECRET in cpap land.
NOBODY wearing a cpap mask should be without it.

(I'm not a paid endorsee, either!)
