I need an idea evaluated. Whan getting a message, I have my head, face down, in a support that extends off the message table and has a padded hole for the face. There's also an armrest below the table top. I find that comfortable and that's unusual because I can't optherwise rest on my stomach. Seems to me that there is no way for mu tongue to prolapse and obstruct breathing in this position. Is this wrong? Also seems that, if such an arrangement could angle the bed downward (head lower than the feet), the effect would be aided.
is there any research on this?
Sleeping face down and downhill
Greetings jhbeak1,
I have never heard of anyone sleeping on their stomach and downhill. though, I have heard of people sleeping with the head of the bed elevated,
What type of mask do you use to sleep on your stomack?
I am sure people would like to know what works best for you.

Hi,
This is an interesting concept. If you explain this to one of the massuers,
maybe they would lend you a portable massage table to take home and try out for a few days to see if it works. Afterall, it would be in the interest of science. You could give them a deposit which would be refundable upon return of the table. Do you think you would be comfortable spending the entire night sleeping like this? I know it's easy to fall asleep this way during a massage. Or would using a CPAP be more comfortable in the long run. Find out! Dani
