Heated Humidifier

Post by maskedman » Mon Aug 23, 2004 10:08 pm

My fisher paykel cpap has a humidifier built in but my supplier said I need a special key to unlock it. Seems wrong to me. What is the story?

Yes, it is crazy. You have the HC210 model cpap. I had the same thing. I had to pay my DME, to "unlock" the heated humidifier section. You can see this at:

http://www.fphcare.com/osa/hc210.pdf

What gets me is the heated part is already there. All they are doing is removing a plastic door and adding a knob. To add insult to injury, I was ticked and searched the internet and found the HC220 version at:

https://www.cpap.com/productpage/658

It is the full version and I paid almost half that to unlock what I had. Live and learn.
