Set the ball right in the middle of the line for the liters you want. i.e. for 2 liters the line should split the ball in half.

My old DeVilbiss 5L concentrator was just replaced w/a new PR Everflo. Wow! Quiet compared to the old DeVilbiss, considerably smaller and a lot less heat too.

I had an Invacare for a short while and it was considerable larger than the DeVilbiss, even moreso than the EverFlo and just as noisy and threw just as much heat as the old DeVilbiss. The Invacare was a pretty old, well-used concentrator too. The DeVilbiss counter quit working at 22500 hours and it lasted 3 1/2 years after that!!!

I'm not sure that I am any to impressed w/the EverFlo's "filter". There is no external filter that we have to clean regularly on it as the DeVilbiss and Invacare had plus the internal filter that my provider checked and cleaned every 6 months. I don't know about your house but ours is full of 40 years of dog and cat hair and 20+ years of a furnace add-on woodburner's dust in the duct work. Yeah, the duct work has been cleaned multiple times but still ...... I had to keep those external filters clean on a weekly basis or so! The DeVilbiss had just the one external filter. The Invacare had two, one on each side, and I never noticed the one on one side. Wow! Talk about EM-BAR-RASSED when my provider came out for the regular 6 month check and clean!!!!!

But I do like the smaller size of the EverFlo and the less noise and less heat. AND I expect that it is likely more energy-efficient than the older DeVilbiss and Invacare. At least I sure hope so. These concentrators added considerably to our electric bill!!! Check w/your electric power company whether they offer a life support energy discount. Ours does after verification thru our doctor.
