That is for helping to moisturize. I have never used it for stuffiness.

Here is a good thread about reducing congestion: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=36483&st=0&sk=t&sd=a

It is a long one, but if you just read Dr. Falcon's post you will get most of the good stuff.

(I use Ayr gel for moisturizing but it does not help with congestion.)

Ya...I got Ayr Saline Nasal Gel for the irritation on the edge of my nares.... don't know how effective it was, but everybody made such a big deal about using vaseline. Then, I also got Ayr Saline Mist....not sure if that was help with congestion or not, but it was nice the mornings when I woke with the inside of my nose feeling dry and raw...something that had happened a couple nights ago....but I think I found the new setting on my humidifier for now. The humidity thing in my living room says its only 2% here...though it does say its 23% in the bedroom. Got a humidifier on order....

Meanwhile, what I did get for dealing with congestion was an Ayr Saline Nasal Rinse Kit. Though so far this season I haven't been congested too bad. The last time I used it, I had gone to bed (after the flight home from Chicago)..but woke up because I was all stuffed up and that got me breathing again.

Sounds like a good plan.

At some point you might want to try using just one medication (the cheaper one?) and see what happens.

Remember that the Flonase takes up to two weeks to reach peak effectiveness in some people.
