Headgear strap leaving a bad cowlick in my hair

Post by rmtemail » Fri Jan 15, 2010 12:19 pm

After a bit over a year of using Swift LT headgear I'm getting what seems to be a permanent cowlick across the top of my head - it's even driving the barbershop nuts. Any solutions or ideas?

"A little dab'll do ya"??

(Someone explain that to the youngsters...)

I have the cowlick, too. But what's worse, it's getting thinner there! I find blow drying helps give "volume" to hide the thinning, and the "lick" isn't as noticeable when your hair has more body.

Hey! It's even easier when it gets really thin. You don't even have to worry about it anymore!

Of course, my barber always complained about my "cowlick":

In all seriousness, LinkC has a right. A little bit of hair stuff (conditioner, mousse, gel, you get the idea) along with a hair dryer can do wonders. I also find that if I take some time to adjust my hair so it lays flat when I fall asleep it is better in the morning. It does not avoid the bad hair days. Of course, for me, most every day is a bad hair day!

I remember the VO5, and Brill cream ! Hey, let's don't forget us ladies either. These straps do some goofy things to our hair too! ! And cow licks, boy, OH boy, let's just say my Mom dropped me off in the middle of the pasture . Fortunantly I have natural curly hair, so that's a blessing. But you guys are right some mouse or gel or something does help, and using the blowdryer helps too. Thanks for the giggle though, it's great to see Alpaha!

I'm on the other side of the issue. My hair is so straight that I use to wake up with the worlds worse "bed head".Now the straps actually hold my hair down.
