In my never ending quest to sleep with only a tiny nasal pillow mask touching my face, kinda like that model for the swift fx, I decided to order chin up strips.
Anyway, I am a mouth leaker, and had to tape my mouth shut for a month or so, which my family greatly appreciated. I then graduated (well sort of...am still trying it out) to a very tight chin strap (Respironics premium chin strap), but it feels bulky on my face. I've read previous posts and they seemed to indicate that the chin ups worked fairly well.
Anyone have any comments on the chin up strips??

Chin Straps did not do much for me. I tried one and all it did was make my teeth hurt. It keep my teeth chenched but my lips would still flutter and leak. After taping and Polygrip Gel I finally learned to put my tounge in the roof of my mouth and kept my lips closed. I know they have helps some but I did not think much of them.

I have used chin-up strips in the past, originally to keep my mouth closed to reduce snoring. This was before I was diagnosed with apnea and got my cpap. Now I find a chin-strap is adequate help to keep my mouth closed.
I found that the chin-up strips did a very good job of keeping my mouth closed throughout the night, but the key is to follow the instructions where when you are putting on the strip- make sure that the part that goes under your bottom lip, is first aligned higher. I found it worked well for me aligned to cover my upper lip, then I pressed down the legs and stretched the strip down to just below my lower lip.
I hope my strange description makes sense.

I used chin ups a few months ago with no results. I tried both the white and beige ones for over a week each with no noticeable help. I found 2" tape works much better, and tape with chinstrap is most effective.
