Hi,

Do whatever you are comfortable with. I replaced mine after 18 months. There was nothing wrong with it that I could see. I had a few in a drawer, so I replaced it anyway. If you live someplace humid or moldy, then I'd suggest doing it more often.

Never. Took in my nearly 4 yr old hose at last appt with sleep doc...she was floored it was that old and looked that new. I take care of my stuff...my life depends on it. She saw no reason to replace as it was working fine. I have 3, 2 I rotate using and one still in its original wrapper.

Never replaced it; never cleaned it. Those heated hoses are expensive.

I replaced mine at 1 year...only because I wanted a back up. I expect my 2 hoses to last a l o n g time.

I have 2 Performance White hoses that I have rotated for 2 years now when washing them. I got a new Performance White hose with my PR System One Auto a few months ago so now I have 3.

I don't know when I would need another, of ever.

My cat(s) have never been interested in any of my cpap equipment and I've had the cats for 12 years and been on cpap for 8 years. One of our cats had to be put to sleep in March. He never bothered with the cpap equipment and Pepper (the one we still have) never bothers with it either. They stayed clear because they don't like it at all so my hoses are safe from cats.

My 6 month old slimline hose for the Resmed S9 developed a small hole on Monday right where the hose meets the connector. A couple of wraps of duct tape and then back to bed. I was a bit surprised as I don't believe I put any stress on that part - but I was probably asleep at the time

I suppose I'll have to replace it at some point.

I replace all my cpap supplies including the hoses once every six months as recommended by my supplier. The only item i replace more often is the disposable filters. That has worked well for me.

When it ends up with a hole in it... and no I don't have cats, it just ends up with a hole eventually.

I hit the three year mark in August and still on original hose (I am notorious for not cleaning). My mask is over two years and it was purchased from another forum member so unsure of the exact age of it.

These things will last a lot longer than the recommended replacement quotes. I do believe -- and this is just my opinion -- the recommended replacement recommendations is so that they can keep the money rolling in to fatten their pocketbooks.

I got a new one when I hit 6 months. I alternate between them, now. I only wash them every month or so. No furry people are allowed in my room, so I do not have that cat hole problem.

I've been on the hose for less than two weeks. However, during the third or fourth night, when I needed to go to the bathroom, I absentmindedly tried to disconnect the hose by pulling on the hose just beyond the connector. That damaged the hose by stretching it thin, but my RT said it was okay if it was not leaking. Still, I ordered a lighter Performance hose. The stretched one will be my backup until I get a third after six months.
