citrus II mask wipes. Are they worth it?
citrus II mask wipes. Are they worth it?
I'm having trouble deciding if I should buy the Citrus II CPAP mask wipes.
The problems I have with the product is the fact that they don't tell you how many wipes you get. In addition to that they do not disclose the ingredients.
What say you? Are they worth the expensive price? How many do you get? Ingredients?

There are 62 wipes
"Active Ingredients: Water and natural gentle cleaners derived from corn, coconut and citrus"
There is a website zzz.citrus2.com
I think they work fine, I think they are pricey.

Thank you both for your input!

If you prefer an unscented cpap wipe, the best price I've seen is for this deal via Sam's Club online: http://www.samsclub.com/sams/shop/produ ... tId=189520
Yes, that blue eyed beauty is my cat! He is a seal point, bi-color Ragdoll. I adopted him in '08 from folks who could no longer care for him. He is a joy and makes me smile each and every day.

Re: citrus II mask wipes. Are they worth it?
I got some unscented, alcohol free, for sensitive skin baby wipes...they come in a plastic box and then they are refillable...so that's pretty cheap. Plus I can use them on my face too....After I clean the mask, I then usually wipe them across a surface on something to dust it before I throw it away in the trash....just want to get all the use I can out of them.
Re: citrus II mask wipes. Are they worth it?
Since they are in a popup/pullup type container, I cut off what I need each time I use them. Since I use nasal pillows, I don't need a whole one. I use maybe 1/3 of a wipe each time. If I am using a nasal mask, I use 1/2 a wipe.
Can't take credit for that idea - someone else on the forum suggested it!
That way they last 2-3 times as long!

Why spend the money on a one-use item you're just going to throw in your local landfill? It seems easier to quickly wash a mask in a little mild hand soap and let it dry during the day. Save your money and save a tree or a lump of anthracite.

Have you tried CitrusII mask cleaner spray instead? I only wash my masks with baby shampoo and water, but this also looks useful to me:

Re: citrus II mask wipes. Are they worth it?
I just saw these at my DME yesterday and was curious about them. The respiratory therapist there suggested just using a solution of vinegar and water. My wife already uses this for cleaning around the house, so I may just end up trying that.
Re: citrus II mask wipes. Are they worth it?
I wash my mask in baby shampoo and water at home, but when I'm away I take several of my unscented baby wipes in a zip-lock baggie. (baby wipes bought at wallyworld last April....still lots left & I only use 1/2 of one each time.)
