Here are some links to the places I have checked (some within CT). Last year I went to Applebees who offers 7 different meal combos which were more than enuff to eat. AutoZone has been great in offering this discount year round. Home Depot it seems to depend on which store you go to. At both you have to ask.

http://locator.applebees.com/

http://www.applebees.com/vetsDay/

http://www.subway.com/Applications/locator/store.aspx

http://uno.know-where.com/pizzeria/

http://www.cabelas.com/stores/stores_home.jsp

NOT in CT

http://www.mccormickandschmicks.com/fea ... n-Day.aspx

Be sure you read all the way to the bottom of the above post for those who offer discounts year round. Look for "all you have to do is ask".

I work at Lowe's and you can get that military discount every day - just ask (it helps if you do that BEFORE cashing out at the register). You will need to show proof in most stores, me, I trust a veteran not to lie to me;-)

thanks to our active duty and retirees for your service!

I found a few more -
Chili's who I don't think participated last year has something which appears to be at least as good as Applebee's.

It says "extra 10%". I assume that's on top of the usual military discount. So active-duty and retired (who normally get 10%) would get 20%, while veterans (who normally get none) will get 10% on Veterans Day. At least that's the way *I* read it.

Yes the OP said it was Nov16 but their website says
  • November 15, 2010 will mark the 10th anniversary of Golden Corral's Military Appreciation Monday dinner.
Unfortunately CT doesn't have any Golden Corral.

Oddly, a reserve friend called today to ask if I wanted to join him in Springfield, MA for din-din.
