add your equipment to your profile.

You should not be snoring while wearing your mask. Check your data and think about increasing your pressure. If you are using the ramp feature - turn it off.

As Blackspinner said, snoring as you're falling asleep means the pressure is not high enough. You can either turn off your ramp, or shorten the time so that you are at full pressure before you start to doze off.

I used to keep myself awake prior to my diagnosis. I would spend the entire night falling asleep, and then waking up to find myself snoring. I no longer snore now.

If you're not already using a CPAP machine, then yes, you definitely should get tested for sleep apnea. What you described sounds as if you very likely have Obstructive Sleep Apnea and need a CPAP machine.

I used to do that a lot before starting treatment, so yes, it sounds like you should have a sleep test for apnea. I still do it once in awhile because my machine is set on auto and the pressure is low when I start out.

Elk... yes it sometimes happens to me... perhaps once a month or two. It usually doesn't last long before I drop fully into sleep and don't hear myself anymore. Usually when I hear myself I cannot move to stop it, then the next thought through this sleepy brain tells me I'm leaking or bypassing badly. ie. pressure is lower and allowing me to snore. I agree with DreamLady and will act on her advice for myself too...thank you.
Best wishes, and good luck stopping those earthquakes!
Cindy
