IntelliPap Smart Link updated to v 2.3

Post by Emilia » Tue Dec 21, 2010 4:57 pm

IP users: Your software now has been updated to v. 2.3 This should appear when you log on, but if not, click on the DeVilbiss icon in the top left of the SmartLink window and choose Update. This update includes my request that they configure the date ranges to show most recent date first to avoid long scrolls. Yahoo.....

I've been saving up for a new PAP machine. Mine is quite outdated. The Intellipap is on my short list, and has now moved up a few notches with this news. It's great when a company is responsive to user requests, like yours. Thank you. I very much appreciate your posting this.

We are fortunate to have a DeVilbiss rep as a member of this forum. She was very open to my request, and I am impressed at how quickly it made it into an update. I've been so impressed with their customer service and being open to answering questions here as well as privately. If you choose an Intellipap, you won't be disappointed!

Hi all,

Am a new user to APAP. Just got my first device, a Devilbiss Auto Intellipap of course!!

Purchased it with all the bells and whistles. Unfortunately, i don't find the manual that useful. e.g. once i've connected all the devices, installed the software, what do i do next?

- Do i need to format the SD card?
- Do you need to create the database on the PC?
- Do i leave it in the smartlink or only insert it when i want to transfer the data to the PC?

Have many more questions. Appreciate some guidance please.

Thanks.

I have the Standard. Is there any way that they will update so it includes AHI etc. Not just the hours used and compliance? Do I need to buy the newest Auto?

At present only the Auto gives out advanced data. How old is your standard machine? If it is getting on, maybe it can become your backup and you can get yourself a new Auto with SmartFlex.

Hi Emilia,

Thanks for the pointers. I'm able to fully utilize its capabilities now!! Can't wait to meet my Dr next week with the printout of the observation.

I'm thinking that's what I'll do. Thank you!

I've been using CPAP's for ten years until this week when I received my Intellipap Auto Adjust with Smart Flex and Smart Link. Like you, I'm still learning how to use the software. I did not have to fortmat the SD card; just popped it into the module. You can create a database with the desktop software; it took me a couple of tries but I finally got it. (You may have more techno-savy than I do.)
I'm just leaving the Smart Card in the module. I take it out of the module to import data to the desktop software.

Good luck.

I have Smartlink Desktop Version 1.6.40 and it does not have the option to upgrade, is there a place where a person can download the latest software?

thanks in advance

You will need to purchase the SmartLink 2.0 software. Once you have this version, the software will automatically update when your computer is connected to the Internet. It should be noted that the 2.0 version of SmartLink has numerous upgrades, so we could not simply upgrade SmartLink 1.6.

The IntelliPAP Standard Plus will also provide some efficacy data (AHI, High Leak, NRI, and EPI).

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

I think I know the answer to this, but want to be sure. When upgrading from version 1.6.3 to 2.0, do we need to purchase a new module? Will the new software work with the older hardware unit?

Let me add my thanks to DeVilbiss for participating on this sight.

If your machine is older and has not had the firmware update to include SmartFlex, you should do that. The software (2.0--2.3) will work with the same module, but if you don't update your firmware, it won't show your Smartflex settings.

Greetings - If I may I'd like to ask a few questions. I am waiting on my prescription and I have 90% decided I'd like to go with the DeVilbiss Auto and am leaning toward ordering from CPAP.com and paying out-of-pocket for all that I need. I have met my new DME and don't have a good impression.

1. I do not know how to pronounce DeVilbiss. Is it Deh-Vil'-biss or Dev'-uhl-biss?

2. I only have one concern about this machine - rainout. Is it just as susceptible to rainout as other machines or is there some remedy I haven't seen in print?

Thank you for responding to my curiosity. I should be moving ahead ordering with coming week. I hope you all won't consider my questions out of place but I wanted to post them in a DeVilbiss post. I knew I might catch a few DeVilbiss owners here. I tried to PM this to someone but it is still in my outbox for some reason.

Thanks again - Jim
